Change

Change can be incredibly difficult.

It often challenges our beliefs.

Or at least our beliefs about what we think we believe.

Educators get a (sometimes deserved) reputation for not wanting to change.

I’ve been on both sides of change, in some cases fighting for it, and in some cases, fighting against it.

Change is difficult when there isn’t a WHY behind it.

No one wants to give up what they have when they don’t see a perfectly good reason to do so.

Change can be difficult when there is no explanation of why the change is necessary in the first place.

It takes legitimate evidence and sound reasoning to avoid push back.

Change can be incredibly difficult.

But, it can also be rather easy when there is a compelling and meaningful reason behind it.
