As educators, we are normally creatures of habit.
We normally look for consistency, order, organization, and structure.
However, it’s not at all what we been faced with for the last year.
Our current times require that each of us is at our best amidst chaos.
We need to be able to pivot at a moments notice.
We need to plan for multiple contingencies, then plan again when those contingencies fall through.
Amidst chaos, we need to embrace ambiguity.
We need to accept uncertainty.
And the best way to embrace this chaos is to is ask yourself why not?
Nothing will be what you are used to.
Embrace the change.
Embrace the ambiguity.
Embrace the chaos.
