Having a Critical Ear

It’s important that right now we have a critical ear. We will need to take our cue from students.

Their words and actions will dictate how they are actually feeling.

While we assume that they will want to talk about all of it, they might just as soon want to forget it all, and just be happy to be in a shared space with classmates and teachers.

Let’s look to them to determine our course of action. Lend your critical ear to your students.

Hear their voices.

Listen to understand.
