No Expectations

Trying to manage the expectations when there are no expectations.

You do one thing under the guidance that you are given, only for the initial guidance to be obsolete within minutes.

It’s no one’s fault.

Everyone is doing their part, including you. You try to lead to the best of your ability. The decisions you make impact everyone, but you know that you can’t reach everyone. You will still try. You will go beyond what you are supposed to. You will go beyond what is expected of you.

That’s who you are.

Managing the expectations when there are none. Absolutely.

Leading in an unprecedented situation. Of course.

You have to. You must.

People are counting on you. They are looking for someone to make it right, even if it is just for a fleeting moment.

You’ll do your part. You’ll do your best. Others will follow.

You must. If not for everyone else, then for yourself.
