A Simple Note of Gratitude

Last week, a teacher found me to excitedly share some news. She showed me a Lego Apple that was given to her by a student, and the accompanying note sent in by that student’s parent.

It was a simple note of gratitude, thanking the teacher for the work she had done to help the student so far this year. No more than three sentences. It couldn’t have taken more than a few minutes to produce the note.

But the impact that the simple note had was profound. I could see it in the teacher’s face. It made a huge difference for the teacher.

So as you begin your day today, if you are an educator and parent, share a note of gratitude. Show your appreciation for the work that your child’s teacher does each day.

A simple note of gratitude. That’s all it takes.
