Kids are going to make mistakes.
Little mistakes that have very little impact.
Big, bone-headed mistakes that cause pain and agony for others.
After all, they are kids.
Hopefully, these mistakes lead to learning.
As educators, it is our duty to help them learn from these mistakes.
We need to help them move past those little mistakes (in order to move forward).
We need to help them restore those that they hurt after those big bone-headed mistakes.
No yelling. No lecture. No reprimand.
Just love and support to help them learn forward.
