It seems like we spend a lot of our time being defensive.
It might be when presented with something new.
“That won’t work.”
Or when something we’ve been doing is questioned.
“I’ve always done it this way. It has worked for years.”
When we face critical feedback.
“Who does he think he is? I definitely don’t do that!”
Rather than being defensive, we should be pensive.
Reflective. Thoughtful. Contemplative. Introspective.
Pensive, not defensive.
