Over the years,
I’ve heard many educators
talking about preparing
students for the future.
They discuss
getting students ready
for next year
or for middle school
or for high school
or for college.
Students would often
be better served
if educators
spent their time discussing
how to get students
ready for
next week
or tomorrow
or the afternoon
or the next five minutes
or three minutes
or the next minute.
If we focus on the minutes,
The years will take care of themselves.
