Raise Your Hand

When my son has something important to say, I don’t ask him to raise his hand and wait to be called on before I allow him to say it.

Yet, this is an expectation in many classrooms today because it has always been an expectation of students in classrooms.

Let’s teach kids to have conversations. Let’s teach them to interact, share and respond to each other respectfully, so that no other student ever has to wait to be called on before they can say something important.
