When Life Gives You Lemons

When  life gives you lemons, you have a few options…

  1. You can try to eat those lemons, and end up with a very sour experience.
  2. You can (as the saying goes) make lemonade. Again somewhat sour, but many people enjoy lemonade more so than eating lemons. OR
  3. You can use the lemons to make a battery to produce electrical current.

While I would choose the third option, it is probably not one that many people would go for. After all, out of the three options, the lemon-powered battery is going to require the most work. It also may require a series of failures before eventual success. Creating the lemon-powered battery also requires you to go out and find additional supplies.

I would argue though, in choosing option 3, you are most likely to produce the greatest possible outcome with the initial lemons that you were given.

So, to recap, when life gives you lemons, don’t simply make lemonade.

Use those lemons to create something amazing…

something that you will be proud of…

something that will reinvigorate your spirit…

something that will push you forward!

  1. Have my battery powered up. Or juiced up, as it were. Nice metaphor to gain energy from setbacks, Rich. ?
