That Makes You an Author

This week, we recognize Read Across America week in schools with a variety of activities related to reading; mystery readers, reading trains, extra read-alouds, and a celebration of many different authors.

I can’t think of a better way to celebrate authors than by authoring ourselves.

So, this week, while we recognize reading, let’s also be authors. I started by writing this post today.

  1. Write something yourself.
  2. Share it. (That makes you an author!)
  3. Let your students write.
  4. Let them share. (That’s makes them authors!)

Let’s celebrate authors this week by becoming authors.

What will you write and share? What will your students write and share?
