At the beginning of the year, I was hoping for a complete return to somewhat normal practices.
After nearly two months, I’ve found that we may never get there. Everyone is struggling.
As a leader, it’s even more important to embrace our humanity. We have to seek ways to be more generous and giving.
Saying yes at every available opportunity.
Modeling empathy.
Asking the simple question: How are you? and meaning it.
Following up when someone needs care.
Just being there to listen.
If you never have, embrace generosity.
As you give more, others will be there to return the favor.
Generosity will help to get us through.
