Bring Your Chicken to Class

Last week, a 3rd grade teacher in our building hosted a Bring Your Pet to Class event. I feel like the only animal missing was a Zebra.

It was a great way to end a week of remote learning. It was also something that we wouldn’t have been able to do if we were in school. While there are limitations to remote learning, there are also possibilities.

The highlight was a student bringing his chicken to class. It brightened the day for students and the teacher. It will be something that students and the teacher remember.

We typically wouldn’t have allowed any chickens to show up for class. I was glad that we couldn’t say no. Students hear no way too often.

Find a way to say yes. Even if it means a chicken will show up to class.
