Good morning.
Thank you for agreeing to serve on the Committee on Committees. While you were voluntold to participate, we thank you for agreeing and appreciate your participation.
Our first meeting will be next Wednesday from 9am to 3pm. We will take a 60 minute lunch, and several 20 minute restroom breaks throughout the day. In order to make sure that we are prepared to get through the three page agenda, our pre-meeting for the first meeting will be held on Tuesday from 12-3pm. The follow up meeting will be on Friday from 11am-3pm in case we don’t get through the entire agenda. (If we do manage to get through the agenda, we will use this time to recap what was discussed, along with some more breaks.)
Please be sure to review all of the relevant and related documents that we have attached to this email. The attachments have been saved as Word documents. If you have any additions or changes, please save them on your computer, and email as an attachment to the rest of the group. At a later date, we will meet to compile any changes or additions that exist within the dozens of emailed versions housed on each person’s individual computer.
The purpose of this committee is to review our other committees to see if we can make our committee processes more efficient or to streamline any work flows. When reviewing inefficiencies, we will utilize our six month review process to make any changes to policy, followed by a policy review period, and any final changes will be made within eighteen months. New policies and processes will then go into effect at the beginning of the following year.
The work that this committee will do is important. We may even consider some of the suggestions proposed by this committee for future changes. Once documented, all of the committee’s findings will be housed online in a final document, which will also be printed as a hard copy, to be housed in the Committee on Committees binder at our district offices.
Again thank you for “volunteering” for our committee. We look forward to seeing you next week!
Sincerely,
Your Committee Leaders
