Notes from #ISTE19, Day 2

Excited to be participating in and sharing from #ISTE19 this week!

Some notes from Day 2:

  • Learned a great deal about #sketchnotes during the #SketchISTE panel discussion. Giving students the opportunity to create and share sketchnotes allows them to practice being uncomfortable. It can help students from paralysis by analysis – the notion that everything needs to be perfect.
  • Spoke with the HTSD Tech team to discuss a Youtube Live version of our morning announcements from our 5th grade students! Now thinking about how we can make this work. Students sharing what’s important to them and our school community would be the ultimate in student VOICE!
  • Discovered the Glide tool for building Apps using simple templates from Google Sheets. The tool helps to build functional, beautiful apps efficiently by just adding information within the cells of Google Sheets. An awesome tool for sharing info with students, staff, or parents!
