I was listening to author of the book,
A More Beautiful Question,
Warren Berger this morning
on my drive into work.
He recommended that every organization
ask themselves this question,
“What business are You in?”
As an educator my simple answer was LEARNING.
I want kids to learn.
But this answer fell short so I revised it.
I want kids to love learning.
From here, I revised a whole bunch of answers.
I want kids to learn to read.
I want kids to love to read.
I want kids to learn to create.
I want kids to love to create.
I want kids to learn to ask questions.
I want kids to love to ask questions.
I want kids to learn math.
I want kids to love math.
I want kids to learn to be curious.
I want kids to love to be curious.
Getting kids to learn and
getting kids to love to learn
are two different businesses.
What business are you in?
