Coloring Goals

 

Color inside the lines!

We’ve all heard it. 

We’ve probably all said it. 

But it’s wrong. 

And we all know it. 

Go to any art museum and you’ll see. 

There are lots of ways to color. 

There is not a single,

correct way. 

I want my students

to color (or paint) thoughtfully.

That’s what all artists do. 

They make choices. 

They try out ideas,

and combinations of ideas. 

They think. They push boundaries. 

They expand possibility. 

To help my students

to color (and paint) thoughtfully,

I created some coloring goals,

some things for them to think about

as they work.
