Creative Generation

To Create a Creative Generation We need to Create a Generation that Generates Ideas

I recently listened to Malcolm Gladwell interview Adam Grant. You can watch their conversation here.

Creativity and innovation is as much about generating lots of ideas as it is about doing the work.

As seen within the work of past creatives, most of these ideas will not be very good or successful.

We need to trust that quantity will lead to quality. It’s the path that nearly all creative and innovative people take.

If we want our students to practice creativity and innovation then part of our work needs to focus around fostering the habit of generating numerous ideas.
