The most important thing we do is serve as role models for our children.
Each day they look to us.
The best that we can do is to give them everything that they need to be good people.
As educators this responsibility is magnified. Not only do we show our children the way, but also the world’s children.
I write this message today not only as a reminder of the heavy duty we carry with us each day but also as a message of hope.
While we can understand the responsibility that we are given each day, we must also understand that we have the ability to make a difference each day.
In fact, our job is to make a difference for every student every day.
If we can do this, we have served our children well.

It’s so easy to get bogged down with all the politics of education and become frustrated. Thanks for the reminder of the reason why I love teaching. My motto for my students has always been “One Life to Make a Difference.”
