We often focus much of our energy in schools on the handful of professional development days that are scheduled throughout the year. It might include a few days at the beginning of the year, one in November, another in February, and one or two at the end of the year.
However, the focus on a limited amount of PD days doesn’t quite have the intended impact that we would like it to have.
We need to take a different approach.
Professional development should be a priority all year long, not just when it is convenient within the schedule.
Small consistent practices can lead to big long-term results.
Make PD a priority on a regular basis, and you will see better long-term results.
