Agile Approach

Agile can be defined in one of two ways:

  1. able to move quickly and easily.
  2. relating to or denoting a method of project management, used especially for software development, that is characterized by the division of tasks into short phases of work and frequent reassessment and adaptation of plans.

As we’ve returned to school this year, I’ve found that it’s more important than ever for us to be agile. I’ve seen that students have less stamina for learning, and therefore struggle to maintain focus and attention for long periods of time.

It helps to take an agile approach based on the second definition above. We need to provide shorter phases of work, constantly reassess based on how students are doing, and adapt plans as necessary. There is a great need for adaptation, especially when you see that the students are calling for it.

Thinking about trying something new?

Thinking about taking a new approach?

It’s simple. Be agile.
