When I ask,
“How am I going to teach this?”
I have a conversation mostly
between the content and me.
However, when I ask,
“How will my students learn this?”
my particular group of learners
becomes part of the conversation.
When I ask,
“How am I going to teach this?”
It’s easy for me to judge my success
based on how well I taught my lesson.
However, when I ask,
“How will my students learn this?”
It’s hard for me not to judge my success
based on how well my students
learned the content.
Perhaps it’s just a small shift
but it makes a big difference
for me
and more importantly,
for my students.
