Be More Boring

Be More Boring

I used to think that the goal of life was to be interesting. To have a busy schedule packed with excitement.

I wanted to say yes to every project. I was constantly checking my notifications to see who had shared what and when. I would multitask at all times to take on even more.

I thought I was being productive, but what I realized was that I was just overwhelmed.

I have come to find that a different approach might just be in order.

It’s something that sounds counterintuitive, and probably goes against the hustle culture that so many promote.

I simply want to be more boring.

I don’t mean having a boring personality or having no ambition.

I’m seeking to have a boring process so that I can live life to the fullest.

The most effective people you know don’t have frantic calendars. They make sure they dedicate time to what matters most.

They don’t rush through their work. They take their time and enjoy the process.

They don’t live with constant drama. They prefer the boredom of quiet solitude.

Everyone seems addicted to the noise. They want the flashy and fast, the constant chaos. Keep it coming even if they miss most of it. It’s the go, go, go mentality.

Not me. I’m going for more of a slow, reliable, and effective vibe.

I just want to be more boring.

I want to go slow and find more joy. I want to commit to one thing at a time. I want to enjoy the process. I want to focus and ignore all the noise.

I want to be more boring.

Who’s with me?
