Seven years ago today, I put The Four O’Clock Faculty: A ROGUE Guide to Revolutionizing Professional Development out into the world. It was accepted by many as a way to change their PD paradigm. Still, others said it wasn’t as revolutionary as it promised to be. Sometimes a revolution is a slow build.
Seven years later, I still talk to educators who are reading the book for the first time, and recognizing that something needs to change within their own professional learning. Some things have changed in the past seven years, and some things (painfully) remain the same. The message of the book still resonates today as it did then.
Professional development needs to be meaningful and relevant to all of us.
