There are days when someone will say to you:
Great job. I love the way you handled that situation.
There are many more days when someone will say:
You handled that situation poorly. I wish you weren’t so bad at your job.
Because they happen more often, it’s the latter occurrence that sticks with you.
When it is said enough, you can start to believe it.
But the former statement is more true.
You are doing a great job.
If you know it, that’s all that matters.
