The Cruft

Cruft: (noun) Anything that is left over, redundant or getting in the way.

Normally, we wait for spring cleaning.

Right now might be the perfect time though.

Look at your practices and get rid of the cruft.

Find the things that are getting in the way.

Eliminate the redundancy.

What is not working for you or your students? No need to keep trying it. Send it packing.

What are the left over routines, projects, and assignments that have hung around too long? Dismiss them and try something new.

Physical clutter clogging up the classroom? Get rid of those materials you haven’t used in years.

It’s about time we got rid of the cruft.

Throw it out and make room for something better.
