What do you do?
I’m not talking about answering with your Job Title.
I’m a Teacher.
I’m a Principal.
I’m an NCLB Teacher.
(That last one is actually a title that I held earlier in my career. It was more of an instructional/technology coach that was pseudo-administrative, sort of. The title did nothing to describe what I did every day, except clarified that the position was funded through the NCLB grant.)
It’s not about your job title.
What do you do on a daily basis that provides purpose?
What do you do on a daily basis to contribute to your students and your school?
How do you create meaning on a daily basis?
What do you do?
When you answer the question, are you satisfied with your response?
If not, maybe it’s time to redefine your role. Time to redefine your purpose.
Time to make it more meaningful.
